Slow foods is sending 8 people to a festival in italy called terra madre. there are 3 people associated with sunswept farm that are going. vanessa , lasa, and lady cerelli. Slow foods Asheville is sponsoring a fundraiser to raise funds for travel to italy. once there our delegates will have the opportunity to participate in the workshops galore offered in the international slow food event. Our fund raiser will be in part bringing foods fresh from the farm & our neighboring farms to a fine dinner presented atop our libations facility here on the farm. the meats and fish will be from our farm, and produce from mountain organics, honeys from lady cerelli, and more. we will press apples that weekend also and sell fresh apple cider. a 5K run up on max patch will also occur. we are still planning the details,, more to come on that. things are moving forward here on the farm. the libations license opens many doors to long range plans. yippee
